TENNIS DANCE

PRESENTATION OF TROPHIES The dance held last Thursday evci i ing under the auspices of the Wa Tennis Club, was quite a su • cess. Miss Joyce Hodgson, gave very goo t tap-dancing items in costume whiv were much appreciated and encorc \vrr f > demanded to Mr M. Burke' songs. Confetti, streamer and Monte Car lo dances added to the enjoyment o the evening. The box of chocolate for competition was won by Monie: Boynton. Miss M. Woolfiekl ant partnc and Miss M. Ruff and partne: were novelty dance winners. During the evening, Mr T. Ward law, President of the Tennis Club presented the 'troph'es and cups wor during the past season, and a!sc thanked all for coming along ano making the dance a success. Special thanks were given to the donors ol the cups, their help being much ap. predated by the tennis members. The following' is the list of trophy winners:—■ Ladies* A Championship: Mrs -T. Ruff (cup donated by Mr J. D. Wardlaw, to be won three times by one person). Ladies' B Championship: Mrs A. K. Bell (cup donated by the club). Men's A Championship: Mr A. K. Bell (cup donated by Mr H. Bell). Men's B Championship: Mr G. Jer, ram (cup donated by 'the cub). Ladies' Handicap Singles: Miss J. Grover (silver button). Men's Handicap Singles: Mr D. Wil son,. Ladies' Championship Doubles: Mrs M. King and Mrs J. Ruff (silver buttons) . Men's Championship Doubles: Mr D Wilson and Mr I. Trainor (silver übttons). Men's B Championship Doubles: Mr Dick Boynton a,nd Mr E. Backhouse (silver buttons). (Continued foot previous column)
