WEDDING BELLS
TEBBUTT —REARDON A wedding of widespread interest was solemnised recently at St Geor_ ge's Church, Whakatane, when, Eunice Mary elder daughter of Mr and Mrs J. Reardon, Whakatane was married to Leslie Jack, second son of Mr and Mrs A. G. Tebbutt, Taneatua. The Rev. S. G. Caulton offi_ ciated and Mrs Fraser presided at the organ. The bride who was escorted by her father wore a beautiful classical gown of magnolia satin, cut on slimming lines. The bodice was made with a high gauged and finished off with a cluster of orange blossom. The long sleeves were puffed on the shoulders and clssely fitted to taper to points over "the wrists. A long line of satin covered buttons fastened the frock at the back and the slim fitting skirt was cut to a graceful flowing fan_shaped train. A beautiful hand embroidered veil with lovers' knots, which formed a second train, was held in place with a halo of blossoms and pearls. She carried a sheaf of arum lilies. In, attendance as bridesmaids were [her two sisters, Miss Marjorie and [Dorothy Reandon. They wore charm, ing frocks of mauve and shell pink taffeta. The tight-fitting bodices relieved with gold lilies at the necklirie were fashioned with shirred sleeves and the skirts being full. On their heads they wore matching tulle veils trimmed with a gold flower. They carried muffs and wore strings of pearls the gift of the bridegroom . Attending the bridegroom were his two brothers Mr Ken Tebbutt as best man and Mr Arthur Tebbutt as
groomsman. Mr Alf TcbbuPt and Mr Ron Row. son acted as ushers. (Following the ceremony a reception was held at the Parish Hall, where Mr and Mrs Reardon received the the latter wearing a millberry gown with gold appliques and a matching hat and fur. She carried a posy of violets and perriwinkle. Mrs Tebbutt, mother of the bridegroom, wore a smart black costume, j hat to match and fur. She carried a posv of anemones and cyclamen. When Mr and Mrs Tebbutt later left 011 their Avedding tour the bride wore a smart tailored navv costume with furs, hat and accessories to match. Mr and Mrs Tebbutt were the recipients of many beautiful presents and cheques.
