A POET'S DREAM
Calm is the night; The moon is bright. The stars all shine, And joy is mineThe Nightingale sings, And happiness brings. The flowers all close: The birds repose. The dawn is grev; The sun's bright ray Climbs tlie sky. Soft clouds go by. The birds now sing Of lovely spring. The day is born k » I greet the morn. ' r: ie day's first light, "'"he sun is br ght; The wind doth play This lovely dav. T'i" flowers aglow, Wide rivers flow; iinough wood and dell And all is well. The daylight fades hi - i; i;;rset shades? Each go'den gleam \n ai'tist's dream. Hirds on the wing Still play and sing, ;' ,:s 'sweet and clear.
