POULTRY PRIZES
o — LOCAL FANCIERS DO WELL SUCCESSES AT GISBORNE Succcss attended local poultry fanciers who seht their birds over to the Poverty Bay, Poultry and Cage-bird show last week. Including cage birds there were 1060 entries in the show, • but local men sccured 12 five seconds and two thirds, besides cups and specials. The judge of the poultry section, Mr { Thornton of Clive, commented on the excellence of the entries. Local successes were: — Mr E. An-ell Ist English Leghorn Hen; Ist English Leghorn Cockerel; Ist English Leghorn Pullet; Ist Dub. bed Bird. Mr I. J. Grose Ist Black Orpington Cock; Ist Black Orpington, Pullet; , 3rd Rhode Island Red Cockerel; Ribbon and Ist Rhode Island. Red Coc_ kcrel; 2nd Rhode Island Red Pullet; Ist Khaki Campbell Drake; 2nd Khaki, Campbell Drake; Ist and Cup and Special Khaki Campbell Drake. Mr D. Berg Ist A.V.O. Drake; Ist A.V.O Duck. Mr S. S. Shfip,lev Ist and 2nd White Wyandotte Hen. ; Mr A. Haultain 3rd Rhode I-iand Red Cock. Mr 11. R. Jackson 2nd White Leghorn Hen; 2nd Dubbedßird.
