B TEAMS IN PLAY WHAKATANE BEATS TANEATUA The increasing popularity of Badminton was again manifest when thj newly formed club at Taneatua tried conclusions with a B team at Wha_ katanc on. Thursday evening. Tha play was even throughout, although the Whakatane team\s experience told in the long run. Great credit is due the Taneatua players for the standard they are achieving and next year it is hoped that they will be able to enter i team in the Bay of Plenty Zone competitions. Men's Doubles: Wardlaw and Nielsen lost to Righton and Bealc 21_lr>, Wilson and Pipe beat Milliner and Roulston 21.16; Stewart and Old beat Best and Atkinson 21-12; Wilson and Pipe lost to Beale and Righton 21-1/; Wardlaw and Pipe beat Roulston anl Milliner 21_5; Old and Stewart beat Best and Atkinson 21 3.
