The contractor had commenced to suppl\ r filling for the area and' three dozen trees for the ar'ea were to hand and had been temporarily planted in boxes in suitable soil. The extensive work of trenching and iaj'ing concrete pipes in the Goul stone lload stormwater drain w;< ••• now in hand and dnvns in the Apa_ nui' area Douglas Street, Arr/.-c Avenue and Salonika Street have been lightly trimmed and cclared. Two new connections had been ma.de to the water supply and icpairs to mains carried out. Mr Henderson added that an application ha:l been received to connect four State houses in Francis Street.
