SERVICE BY BQROUGH DISCUSSION IN COMMITTZZ The Whakatanc Borough Council adopted a recommendation of the finance committee favouring the sup. ply of electricity to The Heads after a discussion in committee at its meeting on Monday night. Cr W. Sulli. \an requested that his vote should be recorded against the proposal. The discussion arose from the report of the meeting of the finance committee which stated that a conference on the supply of cleetricitv •to The Heads had been held with the Bay of Plenty Power Board representatives. The Mayor had outlined the purpose of the meeting and Mr W. S. Burrett, power board chairman, advised that his board had ascertained that the Pa area had been included in the supply areas of both bodies. A discussion ensued, and it jvas decided that the meeting recommend to both bodies that subject to the con.
