—oAWAKERI BRANCH MEETS At the June meeting of the Awakcri branch of the W.D.F.U., Mrs Luxton presided over a good attendance of members. Arrangements were made as regards the birthday party to be held on thd afternoon of July 21st to wh'.ch members of surrounding divisions and institutes are cordially invited. A course of Home Nursing was the centre of much discussion and on being put to the meeting members were unanimous in desiring to take up the course, which it js hoped will be started in the near future. Competitions were won by the following: Mower, Mrs Brizzle 1, Mrs E. A. Haul tain 2, Mrs-J. Graham 3. Knitted Jumper or Cardigan, Mrs Pain 1, Mrs Brizzle 2, Mrs Graham 3 Plum Ja,m. Mrs Graham 1, Mrs H. Luke 2 5 Mrs Brizzle 3. A dainty afternoon tea was served by the hostesses Mesdames L. Carter, N. McDonald and Wilson.
