FAREWELLED BY INSTITUTE
FRIENDS
A very pleasant afternoon was spent at the home of Mrs Naden. Matthew?* Victoria Avenue, when Mrs M. JFogarty, who is leaving the district, was farewelled by members of former Whakatane Women's Institute committees on which she had served. Mrs K. Stewart made a pre-enta-J ion on behalf of those assembled, and paid tribute to Mrs Fogart.v's woiik for the institute, of wh : ch sh? was a committee member for five years and secretary for two. Mr;> K. Armstrong spoke »>£ the guest of honour's able help in tliis connect "on and wished her kick and a pleasant journ?y. The afternoon terminated with mtiv ical honours for Mrs Fogarty. Those present were Mcsdam-s Fogartv, K. Stewart,, It. Armstrong, Bruntou, Caraway, Morgan, Sutcliffe, Norman, Miller, Sims and Matthews.
