21st BIRTHDAY

BRIGHT PARTY FOR MISS F. OLD A very enjoyable evening was spent in the Tancatua Hall last Monday by about 100 guests on the occasion of the coming of age of Miss F. Old. The guests were received by Mns ! Old who wore a dress of black taffeta, the guest of honour wearing a dress of pink brocade. The evening was spent in dancing. Songs were contributed by Mr J. Denham and tap dancing by Miss Nola Merrie. The music was supplied by Roy Parkes Orchestra of Opotiki, an extra being contributed by Mr A. Ward law. Mr T. Hill made an efficient M.C. An. excellent supper was set out on the supper room, and at the guest of honour's table was a large pink cake. The icing which was th'J wonk of Mrs R. Peebles was much admired. Mr Ralph McGougan on behalf of those present thanked Mr and Mrs Old for the splendid evening, also wishing Miss Old a very happj , birth, day. Miss Old replied thanking one and all for the beautiful presents she iiad received including a gold watch from her parents and brothers. Those present included Mesdanies R.
