COLLISION AT MATATA

SMASH ON SATURDAY MORNING Considerable damage was done to two cars which collided on a conier at Matata at about 8.30 o'clock un Saturday morning, and passengers in the cars received injuries. A car driven by Mr Dawson, Te Puke, who had Mr Branch a golf professional as passenger, was coming in the direction of Whakatane when it was involved in the collision. The other vehiele had a man and a woman in it, but their names were not ascertainable. Mr Branch received bruises and a shaking, and the woman in th<? ether car wounds from flying glass. The man had minor head injuries.
