HIGHLAND DANCING
NATIONAL AND ,PIPING EVENTS SCOTTISH DAY'S RESULTS Though the weather was wet and dull throughout the whole of the Scottish Day (Thursday), the pre,scncc of tlie Rotorua Caledonian Society's Pipe Band, and a group of highland dancer's from that centre, lent a wide interest to the dancing and piping staged in connection with the Show. The classes were . comparatively small hut the dancing in most instances attained a good standard, and in the terms of the judge, Mr A. W. Christie, produced promising talent. The piping will no doubt draw larger classe's as the event becomes more widely known. Details of the awards were as under: Bagpipe music (open) Marches: J.
