MINISTER NOT TO BE PRESENT

ADVICE FROM MR HULTQUIST

The news that the Minister of Public W'oi ks. the Hon R. Semple, will not be able to open bridges in the Bay of Plenty as arranged on Mon. day, is contained in a telegram received from Mr A. G. Hultquist, M.P. who is at present at Te Araron in the course of a pre_sessional tour of his electorate.

The Minister regrets that unavotriable circumstances compel him to cancel the arrangements, says Mr Hultcjuist, but he will be pleased to officiate at a later date if i't is possible to postpone the ceremonies.
