A GOOD RESPONSE
CANCER RESEARCH APPEAL
OVER £40 REALISED
The street collection organised by the Mayoress, Mrs B. S. Barry, last Saturday in aid of the National Cancer Research campaign met with a gratifying response, the sum of £10 10s lOd, being realised, with other sub scriptions still to come.
Tancatua's collection has not as yet come to hand and it is anticipaied that the total will 3>e within the vie. inity of £50.
Mrs Barry desires to express. he r appreciation, of the services of the following ladies who volunteered to act as collectors: Mesdames Sutcliff? Carr-Rollett Otlev, Luxton, McDon- > v T a,ld, Norman, Bullard, Marsh, Pearse and Misses M. Whiteside and M. Buddie.
