HAPPY GIFT AFTERNOON BRIDE TO BE HONOURED On the eve of her approaching marriage, Miss G. Mead was the guest of honour at a very pleasant kitchen nfternoon, given by Misses M. Davies and M. MeGougan at the lattcr's home, Opouriao, on Wednesday last. The time "was .spent in games and competitions after which a delicious afternoon tea was served on the lawn On behalf of the many friends oresent, Miss McGouga.n in a few wellchosen words,, asked Miss Mead to accept the many and varied gifts, with best wishes for her future happiness. Miss Mead, in reply, thanked her hostesses and friends a and proceeded to open the parcels. Among those present were: Mr and Mrs Mead, Mesdames MeGougan, Teb butt, Yeoman, D. Butler, S. Windleborn G.
