MEETING OF COMMITTEE '' i ROUTINE BUSINESS ' The executive committee of the Bay of Plenty Winter Show Association held a meeting in the office recently when there were present Messrs W. Sullivan (chairman) B. S. Barry, C. G. Caisley, G. R. Kent, A. J. Canning and L. R-* .g Spring (secretary). . |? It was resolved that a meeting of debenture holders be held after the show, and also that the sum 6f £250 now held on fixed deposit in the bank be taken back into the current account. Mr Barry and Mr Sullivan are to> endeavour to arrange suitable plans for Scottish Day and the Whakatane Band is to be asked to appear at the show on Opening Day and on Satur. day and also during the n>rocession on Saturday. Miss A. Ramson and Mrs E. Ramson are to be asked tc conduct the sweet stall, and Mrs Sullivan is to be asked to convene a meeting to form a ladies' committee and to make necessary arrangements regarding the show tea rooms. Mr Spring was instructed to write to the borough council for. the par. pose of obtaining Mr W. S. Henderson's services in cleaning up the grounds by his staff.
