. o Mr J. Burn Murdoch, and Mr Har_ old Parsons, both former Whakatane arc visiting the district in connection with the stock sale series 1 A quick trip to Ctiristchurch was made on Wednesday by Mrs G. Kent and Mrs K. Armstrong who left for Hamilton by car and travelled by rail to Palmerston North where they boarded an air liner. The purpose of Mrs Armstrong's journey was to see her mother who is seriously ill. Recent guests at the Commeicial Hotel include: Mr and Mrs Brooks (Auckland), Mr Peterson, Mr Luxton. Mr Urquhart, Mr Schooler Mr Mr Price, Mr Berrill Mr G. Blythe, Mr Glennie, Mr McQaw Mr Toose, Mr M. Steele, Mr Nimon Mr Arthur, Mr Ashton, Mr R. W. Steele, Mr Speirs, Mr Mf Boyce. Mr Tilley, Mr Palmer Mr and Mrs Kay.
