UNUSUAL ACCIDENT
o HIT BY FLYING STONE BLASTING AT QUARRY An unusual accident befel Mr W. F. Dunn an employee of the Works last Monday afternoon,, when he was struck on t the head by a flying piece of rock following blasting operations in the Valley Road quarry. Mi Dunn was standing a clear 10$ yards away, a distance considered to be perfectly safe by other workmen on the job. However a piece of stogie was blown fully that distance aJntf struck him on the head inflictinga deep scalp wound. Fortunately he was wearing a hat at the time or the result would have been most serious., Mr Dunn received medical attention and was able to return to his. home. He will be unable to continue work for some time. . J *
