WEDDING BELLS

PARTRIDGE —ALEXANDER The wedding Avas celebrated recently in the Lichfield Hall of Mr Ronald Ivan Partridge, of Paengaroa Hay of Plenty, eldest son of Mr and -Mrs G. Partridge, and Miss Lydia Alexander of Wiltsdown, Putamni, •5 second daughter of- Mrs and the late 1 Mr W. G. Alexander. Mr J. E. iMudl'ord performed the ceremony. Ore a a music was played by Miss Edna Wilton, cousin of the bridegroom. The hall was tastefully decorated by friends of the bride-"With jjir.k streamers and bunches of pink sweet peas and staghorn ferns. The bride, who was given away by her brother, Mr Matthew looked charming in a graceful hock of ivory embossed riche. A band of shirring at front fell to form a train at the back, the V neckline being trimmed with a tiny spray of orange blossom. The bride carried a shower bouquet of white lilies and maidenhair l'ern. The "bridesmaid, Miss Miriam Alexander sister of the bride, wore a frock'of delicate shade of pink floral lacy-ground satin, shirred at the waist, with a frilled nccklinc and short pufl sleeves. The headdress was composed ol matching net finished with a coronet of pink flowers. The bridesmaid carried a bouquet cf pink gladlolis and rosebuds. Mr Jack Partridge, brother of the bridegroom • was best man. The reception was held at the Putaruvu W.D.F.U. meeting rooms, where guests were received bv Mesdames Alexander and Partridge. Mrs Alexander wore a black tailored costume with a white vest. Tier hat was of black and mauve, arid accessories were to tone. She Carried a posy of mauve and purple glacliolis. Mrs Partridge wore an, ensemble of navy cloque with hat and accessories of red earth shade. She cairied a posy of pompom dahlias of the same shade. Dominating the table at the inception was a tiered wedding caki which was made and decorated by the bridesmaid. The happy couple left on a motoring tour, the bride travelling in a tailored navy costume, pink lace blouse, navy hat and accessories to match. Their future home will be made at Paengaroa, Bay of Plenty. '
