G. Limn, ex-Picsulent of the Associated Chambers of Commerce of New Zealand, who paid a visit to the mills yesterday in the course of a business trip to Whakatane. "T was very anxious to see the mills now that the wheels nro turning" said Mr Lunn. "One has to see the mills working to realise what an important industry it will be for the whole country, especially when one considers the number of hands continuously employed in working the machines through the whole 2-1 hours quite apart from the fact, that the, underta.king is of great vahio to afforestation by using up the thinnings of the pine forests and thus gives a return which was, in some cases, not anticipated. "The mill is producing a very excellent chip board suitable for many purposes and, in short, it is an industry which is a great credit to the enterprise which has raised the large sums necessary, and instituted an undertaking which should be a very important and growing branch of the economic life of New Zealand."
