SHOOTING IN BOROUGH

REMINDER TO SPORTSMEN GOLF LINKS INCLUDED With the approach of the shooting season it is timely to remind sports, men that they must exercise caution if contemplating shooting on the high country to the East of the township. A considerable portion of, this area is within the Borough where it is illegal to discharge firearms, the Mokorua Golf Links is an accepted area (this is, it is a sanct_ uary during the term of the shooting season), and shooting without permission on the adjacent lands occupied and being developed by the Native Department is prohibited. Thus the need for caution, and sportsmen for all intents and purposes may regard the HillcTest area as a whole as a protected region.
