BOWLING OVER
-o WHAKATANE SEASON ENDS Whakatane bowlers ended their season on Tuesday with friendly games. The president, Mr E. Currah, first addressed his members and briefly reviewed the season's sport. He thanked members for their g0.,'l fellowship and expressed the hope that the next season would be as sue. cessful a s the one just past. About 20 players took part in the play which followed. The green was very wet and heavy and forcible play was the order of the day. Thi-;, coupled with the general end of the season relaxation, led to many amus. \ ing incidents. It was a thoroughly good wind-up to a pleasant year.
