Residents of Whakatane and the county will lie so r ry to learn of the illness of Mr Walter Reid, chairman of the Ooouriao Dairy Factory, member of the Wliakatane County Council and iint'l ]a«t year its chairman. Mr Reid is still rather seriously ill, but it is stated that he has made some progress and hopes are extended for his complete recovery.
