JUNIOR FOOTBALL DISCUSSED .FLOODLIGHTING THE DOMAIN Two main points of interest were discussed at the annual meeting of the Whakatane Rugby Football Club held in the borough chambers, Whakatane, on Tuesday night. The first was a proposal that steps be taken, to unite the Star and Old Boys junior teams with the Whakatane Club. It was admitted that in the past great trouble had been cans, ed to the junior teams by the senior | team taking their players in order to field a side, and interference in other ways, and it was suggested that an undertaking should be given to the juniors that the senior team would default if short of men before embarrassing a junior team by taking its best players. It was decided to recommend to the executive that it meet the junior clubs to discuss amalgamation. Iu the meanwhile the affiliatip n of the Old Boys Club was accepted.
