Presentation of the New Zealand
Cross to Captain Preece. Opotiki, Tuesday evening. Captain Preece was presented with the New Zealand Cross in presence of a parade of Armed Constabulary and Volunteers on Saturday afternoon by Major Goring. The major made an appropriate and feeling address, highly eulogistic.
