Charge of Perjury Preferred Against Wright.

Gisboene, Friday evening. Mr Eobson, of Tologa Bay, has taken up the cudgels on behalf of Mr Matthewson, and has laid an information against Wright for perjury, in accusing Matthewson of attempting to bribe him at the late election, under the arbitrary clauses of the " Corrupt Purposes Prevention Act. ' ' Matthewson concludes he is sure to be committed, and this course only is open to him, namely, to deny the charge of bribery on oath. He is well supported by public opinion. The hearing is fixed for Tuesday next. The weather is like summer here.
