Sills are promised for the of an ultimate tribunal of appeal, for the amendment of the Merchant Shipping Law, and legislation on musical and primary education. The Duchess of Edinburgh will proceed to Russia. In Spain the Alphonsists are masters of Biscay and Olava; The Duke of Edinburgh takes command of the Sultan for a special cruise. Both Houses of Parliament voted an address in reply. Explanations occurred on the action of the Government in supporting Count Andrassy's note, and also respecting the purchase of the Suez Canal shares. Mr Gladstone approved of the support given to Count Andrassay's note. The Australian news of corresponding dateß is of little interest. Friday Evening. pointed Governor of Barbadoes. A case of cholera occurred on board the Leropis at Calcutta. The Turks were defeated by the Herzegovina insurgents at Trabenjie. Thirty were killed, and many wounded. Owing to death and. official promotions, several elections to Parliament have occurred. Cavendish Bentinck, Judge Advocate-General, has been returned for Whitehaven; Hurst, Liberal, for Horsham ; General Ganton, Conservative, for East Aberdeenshire.
