SUDDEN DEATH.

A seaman named Alick, mate of tlie cutter Elizabeth, died suddenly yesterday evening at the Masonic Hotel. The poor fellow had been working hard on board the cutter during the time she was on the beach during Saturday’s gale, whore it is supposed he must have caught’ a severe cold, from which he has been suffering for the last two days. Ho was found dead in one of the sitting rooms of the hotel, nor can his death be ascribed to anything else than some internal disease, which must have caused almost instantaneous death, as he was seen alive a short time previously. We understand that the man had not been drinking at all, and was only staying at the hotel until he should recover from his temporary illness. We presume an inquest will be held during the course of the day.
