CORRESPONDENCE.
We do not hold ourselves responsible for opinions expressed bj correspondents. TO THE E DITCH. SIK, Allow me, through the medium of mur columns, to vindicate myself from a gross misstatement made by Mr Quick- when in 'Tauranga in August lust to several parties residing tlmre. Quick maintained that Hannon’s man bad given away oats contrary to the wish of his employers. Now, I fearlessly assert that I have never given away oats to anyone, and that his state merit is a gross calumny, and likely to do me a serious injury in my future career in life. “He who robs me of my purse steals trash,” &0., “ bur he who filches from me my good name robs mo of that which not enriches him, but makes me poo>indeed.”—l am, &c., AtKXiNPSB BaIKD.
