THE PACIFIC MAIL SERVICE.
Tmk Colonial Secretary of New South Wales, Mr Parkea, received a telegraphic despatch on Soptetuber & x , front the Hon, Juiiua Vogel informing the Government of this colony that the Now Zealand Government has confirmed the agreement made by Mr Samuel and Mr Bussell iu London, b} r which the two colonies join on equal terms in the la<dhe mail contract, Tho negotiations with Now Zealand have necessarily delayed proceedings m London during tho past months but ©very eliort will now be made to expedite tho building ot tho now ships. Wo understand that such arrangements have boon completed by our own Government aa will meet the wants of the colony on tho expiration of the present contract. Tho first mail ship of tho interim service is expected to leave Sydney on tho 10th December for Fiji, Honolulu, and San h rancisoo.— —Sydney JSdLotnintf JTerald, September 30.
