BRITISH CLOTHING COUPONS British Official Wireless Rec. 1 p.m. RUGBY, Aug. 27. British clothing coupons available on October 12 will have to last 5J instead of 4i months. Announcing this change, the president of the Board of Trade, Sir Andrew Duncan, said that the country had to reckon with a severe strain upon imports for some time ahead. After consultation with the Trades Union Council and the British Employers' Confederation, many classes of industrial workers will receive special allowances. Children will also get extra coupons.
