STATUE DESECRATED
Used By Nazi Spies To Signal Submarines

The venerated "Christ the Redeemer beacon" at Rio de Janeiro recently developed a slight irregularity. Investigation revealed that Nazi spies had used the beacon for signalling submarines. One operator was arrested and the other is being sought.
