PETROL ALLOWANCE
PRIVATE MOTOR CARS
HALF COUPON FOR AUGUST (P A.) WELLINGTON*, this day. Petrol coupon No. 17 at half its face value will be available to private motorists for August, according to an announcement by the Minister of Supply, Mr. Sullivan. After considering the present stock position and advices as to prospective supplies, Mr. Sullivan said the \\ ar Cabinet decided to make a minimum allowance of petrol available to private motorists during August. The decision to allow the same ration as during the past two months, he added, was in furtherance of the War Cabinet's policv of ensuring that so long as possible private cars may be kept mobile.
