AUCKLAND FLYER'S AWARD
LONDON, July 29.
The citation accompanying the recent award of the Distinguished Flying Cross to Pilot Officer Gray Stenborg,. of Auckland, states: He has displayed great determination and keenness to engage the enemy. 1 his month he encountered a superior force of enemy fighters escorting bombers. He destroyed two and dispersed the remainder enabling other Royal Air Force fighters to attack the bombers. A few days later he shot down two enemv has now destroyed
Officer Stenborg Is the son of Jlr and Mrs. G. Stenborg, of King Edward Parade, Devon port.
