PRODUCE MARKETING

N.Z.H.A. RECOMMENDATION At a recent meeting of the New Zealand Housewives' Associationfurther consideration was given to the question of fruit, vegetables and eggs, and the following resolution was passed unanimously:— "The New Zealand Housewives' Association recommends the formation of a co-operative marketing board, consisting of an elected expert representative from each of the following:—Market gardeners, poultrykeepers, citrus growers, orchardists, merchants, retailers, consumers and those Government Departments concerned in importing and exporting fresh food stuffs." It is* the considered opinion of this association that the formation of such a board would be in the best interests of New Zealand, and of the community, both civil and military, and the only real and logical solution of the present unsatisfactory position.
