FARM LAND FLOODED
RIVER BREAKS BANKS (0.C.) DARGAVILLE, this day. When a high spring tide, backed by a strong south-westerly gale, was experienced last night, the Northern Wairoa River broke its flood banks, the waters covering many hundreds of acres of rich dairying country at Aratapu, Mititai and Awakino Point. In the borough some shops were affected. Shopkeepers were called out about midnight and removed their stocks. No damage is reported.
