ESCAPE TUNNELS
Another Discovered At Victoria Prisoners' Camp AXIS SOLDIERS INTERNED Special Australian Correspoadent Rec. 1 p.m. MELBOURNE, this day. Military guards have discovered two more tunnels, partly completed, at the German and Italian war prisoners' camp in Victoria, where the first tunnef, which was part of an elaborate plan of escape, was discovered on June 30. Altogether nine tunnels up to 240 ft in length have ( been found. A All the tunnels were discovered w before they had penetrated under the wire barricades surrounding the camps. No prisoners have escaped through the tunnels. A total or 32 war prisoners have escaped or attempted to escape from the camps in Victoria, but 28 have been recaptured.
