WAIKATO WOMEN

500 REGISTRATIONS (0.C.) HAMILTON, this day. A list of 500 eligible women has been compiled on the completion of the registration of Hamilton and Cambridge women between the ages of 22 and 25. The manpower officer, Mr. L McKinnon, stated to-day that a sufficiently large pool had been created so that all immediate requirements would be met without affecting those in key positions in private industry or business. Officers of the Manpower Department have been busy this week interviewing employers regarding the women who can be most easily spared to take up essential war work.
