onehi xga borough council The monthly meeting of the Onehunga Borough Council was held last evening, the Mayor, Mr. J. Park, presiding. Patriotic Appeal.—The central committee of the 1942 Patriotic Appeal advised that the council's allocation was £ 250. Rat Week.—The council agreed to co-operate with the city in a campaign during the third week in September. Traffic Emergency Regulations.—Authority was received from the Minister giving the Mayor as district warden power to close any street in the borough in case of emergency. Parking in Queen Street. —The council resolved to relax the previous provision against parking in Queen Street and to allow parking ior 30 minutes between the hours of 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. Waste Depot.—The council decided to iniorm residents that waste paper will be received at the council's depot in Princes Street.
