BURNS TO FACE

ACCIDENT WITH GAS STOVE As the result of a gas stove flaring up about 9.30 this morning two male employees of W. R. Cooke and Son, Ltd., suffered superficial burns to the face and were admitted to the Auckland Hospital. They were Mr. James Anderson, 57, a pastry-cook, of 99, Market Road, Remuera, and Thomas Gardener, aged 16, an apprentice baker, of 2, Bayfield Road, Heme Bay. Neither was considered to be in a serious condition this afternoon.
