ROAD BLOCKED
ON PAEKAKARIKI HILL BIG SLIP CLEARANCE JOB (P.A.) WELLINGTON, this day. A big slip, which at present it is estimated will take four days to clear, has fallen on the old Paekakariki Road, and other slips prevent immediate access to it. The main coastal road has fortunately been opened, and most of the traffic had already ceased using the hill road when the slips came down.
