"The nature of this offence is such that you will go to prison. You were put in a position of trust and you abused it," said Mr. J. H. Luxford. S.M., to Ernest Edward Albert Tier, who appeared on summons in the Police Court to-day and pleaded guilty to a charge of fraudulently omitting to account to Phyllis Mabel Jameson for £15 19/6, thereeby committing theft. Detective-Sergeant Trethewey said Tier had been employed driving a taxi and earned about £7 per week. After complainant's husband entered camp the offence was committed.
