WAR DAMAGE CLAIMS
RESIDENTS OP NEW GUINEA
Special Australian Correspondent. Rec. 2 p.m. SYDNEY, this day. About 1400 claims for compensation have been received by the War Damage Commission from residents in New Guinea and other Common-wealth-controlled territory now in enemy hands. One owner has claimed compensation for property of more than £1,500,000.
