SCHOOL MATRON HONOURED

On the occasion of her retirement, a cheque was presented to Miss M. Maindonald, matron for 12 years at the Mount Albert Grammar School House, by the head prefect, on behalf of the boys and their parents. The housemaster, Mr. J. G. Brown, expressed appreciation of Miss Maindonald's work, which included the introduction of a modern system of dietetics. Mrs. R. B. Topping has been appointed to fill the vacancy.
