CANADIAN COST FALLING OTTAWA, July 18. The cost of gun production in Canada is falling. A report of the House of Commons Sub-committee on War Expenditure shows that the cost of the Bren light machine-gun dropped from 390 dollars to 192 dollars between March, 1941, and March, 1942. The .303 Browning, which cost 402 dollars in November, 1941, cost 220 dollars in April, 1942. The No. 4 Lee-Enfield rifle, which cost 97 dollars in September, 1941, cost 47 dollars in April, 1942.
