HARBOUR BOARD LEASES

COMPREHENSIVE REPORT The Auckland Harbour Board decided at its meeting yesterday to go thoroughly into the question of rentals of its lands leased in perpetuity. The chairman, Mr. Hendry Luke, said it was most desirable that this should be done as some anomalies existed which should be cleared up. The question was referred to the finance committee the chairman suggesting a comprehensive report which could be referred to in the years to come. n An aPPhcation from J. Burns and Co., Ltd., to allow the value of the board s interest in its Customs Street property to be fixed by arbitration was agreed to.
