WIDE DISPARITY
ORANGE-LEMON PRICES AUSTRALIA AND DOMINION Reference to the great disparity In the prices of oranges and citrus fruits in Australia and New Zealand is made in a recent article in the Evening Post. Sydney wholesale prices for oranges. June 18, were 7/ to 13/ a bushel case; mandarins, 10/ to 14/ and 16/ to 24/ a bushel; lemons, 7/ to 12/ a bushel, with 14/ for "coloured" lemons. New Zealand wholesale control prices for Australian oranges ranged from £1 5/ a case for OH to a case to £1 16/ for 200 to the case. Australian lemons are selling wholesale In New Zealand to-day at £1 18/6 a case of 176 lemons to £2 13/B for 392 lemons, a very smallsized fruit. The highest Sydney market price for lemons was 14/ a bushel case: the highest New Zealand control price for lemons was £2 13/6 for a case containing a bushel and one-third.
