FROM MIDDLE EAST

The figure of a soldier sitting on a little hill looking out across water towards home is on the front cover of a Mother's Day card which has been received from the Middle East by a mother in Auckland. . Inside the card are the initials of the Young Men's Christian Association and there is a space for a personal message. This one, which is dated May 10, 1942 (Mother's Day), cheerfully said, "Saving up for 10/5/43. What would you like? Sky s the limit."
