AIR RAIDS ON BURMA
British Official Wireless. Rec. 1.30 p.m. RUGBY, July 17. An air communique from New Delhi states that R.A.F. bombers attacked Kalewa in Upper Burma on Wednesday and dropped bombs on the centre of the town. A low-flying attack was made on barges at Kolimvo. Yesterday Blenheims bombed the dockyard and attacked huts on Oyster Island with machinegun fire. All our planes returned.
