"PADDY" FINUCANE Victim Of Stray Bullet From Coastal Gun United Press Association.—Copyright. LONDON, July 17. Wing-Commander "Paddy" Finucane, D.5.0., D.F.C, is dead. He was shot when his plane was crossing the Channel, falling a victim to what is described as a "million-to-one-chance" bullet from a machine-gun on the French coast. To the end he was unbeaten by the Luftwaffe. He had 32 enemy planes to his credit.
